This film traces a female dancer - Annie Koval - as she moves through different sites: an alleyway, an empty train station, a suburban lot, a forest, a river, the ocean and the spaces in between. The work captures her playful interactions with each space through sensory investigations of texture, sound, image, and the gestures of the body. It is an exploration of the human relationship to landscape, and the ways in which states of harmony, coexistence, intimacy, and detachment are fostered from the terrain around us. We see Annie move from the alienation of the cityscape to the joy of immersion in nature.
